What are fragrance notes and how can you recognise them?

Fragrance notes are the elements that make up a fragrance, defining its character, intensity and how it develops on the skin.

They are divided into top, heart and base notes, which emerge in sequence and blend harmoniously over time to create the unique identity of each fragrance.

What are top notes?

Top notes are the first nuances you notice when you wear a perfume: light, fresh and immediate, they introduce you to the fragrance and convey its first impressions. Fleeting and lively, they soon give way to the heart notes, which emerge shortly afterwards, revealing more of the fragrance’s character.

What are heart notes?
